Shontae Miller, CTRS

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University in 2017. My career began while in college, in 2015 at a senior living facility. I started as a Resident Care Associate in memory care, where I developed an understanding of person-centered care. I later transitioned into Life Enrichment, focusing on social well-being, emotional fulfillment, and purposeful living for older adults. Then once I graduated, I later got experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dogs and cats, canoeing, walking nature trails, and stargazing at the beach while sipping my wine and sherbert float.
